AUBURN | Isaac Zico has three scholarship offers, but the three aren’t enough to satisfy the junior college wideout.

Zico, from Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Ga., would like an offer from Auburn, and he’s willing to do what is necessary to earn it.

“They want me to keep working,” Zico said. “And hopefully I’ll see something soon.”

Zico visited Auburn early last week and worked out for receivers coach Kodi Burns. Zico then returned Saturday for the Tigers’ War Damn BBQ.

“I got a tour of the campus, got to see everything,” Zico said. “It was eye-opening.”

Zico was one of the first recruits to arrive Saturday, which provided him the opportunity to meet with Burns as well as graduate assistant Jonathan Wallace.

“It was a lot better than the first visit,” Zico said. “I got to talk to them. I liked that and the pump-up speech from Coach Malzahn. It was highly motivating.”

Zico plans to use the motivation to earn an offer and add it to the ones he has – Western Kentucky, UNC-Charlotte and West Georgia. Zico also is receiving interest from several schools, including Miami, Iowa State, Appalachian State, Georgia State and Georgia Southern, among others.

Zico, who stands six feet tall and weighs 190 pounds, had seven receptions for 242 yards (34.6 avg.) and four touchdowns last season as a freshman. He attended high school at Alexander High in Villa Rica, Ga.
