AUBURN | Rivals250 receiver Devin Duvernay made the trip to Auburn this weekend from his hometown of Sachse, Texas, and already has plans to do it again.
"It was good. I'm glad I came," Duvernay said. "I got to see what I wanted to see, and I want to come back for a game or an official visit."
Duvernay, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, arrived in Auburn on Friday with his brother and parents. He spent much of his time with offensive coordinator/area recruiter Rhett Lashlee.
"It was fun," Duvernay said. "I like Coach Lashlee. I talked to him a lot. He showed me a lot of ways he could use me in their offense. That was great. I'm glad he showed me that."
Duvernay left impressed with Auburn, so much that the Tigers now are among his leaders.
"There is a lot of tradition in this school and I like it," Duvernay said. "They are one of my top schools."
Duvernay's brother, Donovan Duvernay, also was impressed. The three-star cornerback has several offers, but not one from Auburn. Not yet.
"It would be a big one because it would be my first SEC offer," Donovan said. "That's something I would definitely look into. They're going to keep looking at me and told me to keep working."
Donovan currently lists offers from Houston, Baylor, TCU, Michigan, SMU and Oregon State.
