Visit bumps Auburn up Hughley's list


Johnathan “Bo” Hughley currently is committed to Georgia, but that hasn’t stopped Auburn from pushing hard for him.

The Tigers were able to make a move for the offensive tackle from Fairburn, Ga., during his official visit over the weekend.

“Auburn has been in my top 5, so it did boost them up,” Hughley said. “They gave me something to think about.”

During his visit, The Langston Hughes product was able to spend a lot of time visiting with the coaching staff.

“They treated us like family, so it’s been really great,” Hughley said.

The member of the staff that Hughley said he has the best relationship with is head coach Bryan Harsin, which is very meaningful for Hughley.

“Knowing that I’m wanted at one of the top schools by the head coach consistently - that’s big, really big,” Hughley said.


Hughley, Standing at 6-foot-7 and 290 pounds, said that he might be back for an unofficial visit next week, but he “doesn’t know yet.” He’s also tentatively set to attend Big Cat Weekend at the end of July.

Hughley said he still feels good about his Georgia commitment, but that we won’t know where he will officially be playing until signing day.

He is rated a 4-star the nation’s No. 17 offensive tackle No. 163 overall prospect in the class of 2023.
