The disparity between those two rankings involved a broken fibula (plus associated ligament damage) suffered during the first game of his junior season. He wasn't quite the same as a senior — not surprising given the injury's severity — and then failed to wow observers during his time at the Under Armour All-America Game.
Still, his explosiveness no longer is in question.
