Tigers surprise Georgia receiver with offer

"Before they were definitely in my top schools, but they definitely just made a huge impact," Stanley said.
"I'm still not really leaning towards an early commit, but they really did just make a deep impact."
During the visit, he was able to take a deeper look into what the program had to offer including the facilities.
"It was real fun and really good experience," he said.
"This is actually my third time coming up here. I went to the Iron Bowl and I didn't get a chance to the student facilities so it was real nice. I like how they treat the student-athletes. I really like the whole Auburn family."
The 6-foot-3, 205 prospect spoke with co-offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee and discussed the depth chart at receiver over the next couple of years.
"We were going over all the receivers that were currently here and will be here for the next two years and the quarterbacks," he said.
"When I come here they definitely told me that I will be right on to come in and play. That was a real big impact on it to."
Before Monday, Stanley only held offers from UNC-Charlotte and Marshall. But he expects that to change now that the Tigers have jumped on board. He has already seen heavy interest from schools like Clemson, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
"A lot of people tell me that now that this one came in a whole bunch will start flooding in," he said.
"I still want to keep my eyes open to everyone else, but this is real heavy on my mind."
Cornerback Joshua Holsey was a senior when Stanley was a freshman, but said that having Holsey at Auburn gives the program a slight edge.
"It definitely helps," he said.
"I was real cool with Josh when I was in ninth grade. I looked up to him and stuff like that. Definitely with him coming here it really helps. It pushes them."
With a new offer in hand, the Georgia prospect already has plans to take another visit back to the Plains and hopes to build his relationship with Lashlee.
"I'm coming up back up in the next couple of weeks to see Coach (Rodney) Garner," he said.
"Me and Coach Lashlee we talked about everything. He is a real cool guys. He is a real good guy to be around."
