AUBURN, Ala. | Chris AllenClick [rl]Here to view this Link.'s first trip to Auburn turned out to be a memorable one.
The 2017 four-star defensive end from Southern Lab in Baton Rouge, La., received an offer following a standout performance at a camp.
"It was very nice. It was amazing. I liked the campus and the camp was fun too," Allen said. "I had a chance to showcase my talents.
"I think Auburn is a great program. They work hard and they believe they're going to win every game."
Allen, 6-foot-3 and 229 pounds, spent time with defensive coordinator Will Muschamp and defensive line coach Rodney Garner during the camp.
"They said that they really wanted me," Allen said. "The offer was amazing. I didn't think I could get an offer from them. I was surprised. I didn't even expect it."
Georgia was the first school to offer Allen. He also has offers from Florida State, Miami, LSU and Ole Miss.
"Not in any specific order but LSU, Georgia and Auburn," Allen said of an early top three.
Allen plans to hold off on a decision until sometime next year, possibly during his senior season.
"I'm just going to go where I feel like I fit in, the place that's right for me," he said.
Allen said he'll return to Auburn for a game or two this fall.
