Ole Miss' fast-tempo, spread attack forces defenses to make quick decisions while fatigued, which can be a very tall order.
Another important dividend for spread teams is that pace means more snaps. And even the best defenses that adjust thoughfully before the snap find themselves disadvantaged at times. That's where Auburn found itself late in the second quarter Saturday when the Rebels flooded the field with receivers and picked apart a zone-under scheme.
