Surprise flip

AUBURN | Georgia Military College defensive end DaVonte Lambert has flipped from Tennessee to Auburn and will sign his National Letter of Intent with the Tigers on Wednesday.
Rivals.com ranks Lambert as the No. 9 overall junior college prospect and the No. 1 defensive end in the country.

The 6-foot-3, 275 pound Lambert committed to Tennessee over Auburn and Florida in August. However, his relationship with Auburn's defensive line coach Rodney Garner was enough to influence his last minute decision.
Lambert told AuburnSports.com earlier this year that he considered Garner a "father figure" and would be honored to play under a coach who expects the best out of his players on and off the field.
GMC teammate Devaroe Lawrence committed to Auburn in June and is planning to sign in February.
