Brenton Williams won't have to travel too far for school.
The three-star defensive end from Opelika committed to Auburn on Monday, the Tigers' 13th commitment in the 2023 class. He's the second defensive lineman to commit to Auburn in the last three days, as Darron Reed committed last Friday.
Williams was previously committed to Coastal Carolina for nearly five months before de-committing Nov. 17.
Auburn now has four edges committed for the 2023 class with Ashley Williams Jr., Wilky Denaud, Reed and now Williams.
The 6-foot-4 defensive end had other offers from schools like Penn State, Liberty and Kansas, but it was ultimately the close-to-home Tigers that won him over. Williams still has an official visit he can take to Auburn if he chooses to do so.
