Auburn has won its third head-to-head battle of the day against Florida.
Lakewood (St. Petersburg, Fla.) Rivals100 wide receiver Ryan Davis chose the Tigers over the Gators at a ceremony Wednesday at Lakewood High.
Davis, 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds, had been high on Auburn after visiting Jan. 16-18 for "Big Boom Weekend."
He took an official visit to Florida the following weekend, Jan. 23-25, and the Gators made a strong push to keep the four-star recruit in-state.
In the end, it wasn't enough.
Davis is the second receiver in Auburn's 2015 class, joining four-star Darius Slayton, who flipped his commitment Tuesday from Georgia to Auburn.
Davis is the 26th commitment in Auburn's class. The Tigers are expected to sign 29.
