AUBURN | Auburn had several of the country's top prospects on campus Saturday to attend the Tigers' annual A-Day game, many of whom were top recruits from the 2017 class.
Among the group of top '17 targets was Clay-Chalkville Rivals100 to Watch receiver Nico Collins, who left with the Tigers atop his early list of favorites.
Here's what the four-star recruit had to say about his visit.
AU leads for '17 Rivals100 WR
Pinson, Ala. (Clay-Chalkville)
On the visit…
"I got there a little late so I went straight onto the field and watched them warm up. I didn't get a chance to talk to the coaches. I just went down, watched the game and came back, but I still enjoyed it. I still had a good time."
On the game…
"It went good. It was exciting watching them play. I liked watching the receivers. They stood out to me with the way they created space off the line, ran their routes and caught the ball. I watched No. 1 (D'haquille Williams). He's pretty good.
"(Quarterback) Jeremy Johnson, I like him. He was awesome. He's a great player. He made some great throws. (Sean White) did good, too, but Jeremy is the real deal. He's a good player."
Where Auburn stands…
"Right now Auburn is at the top. Auburn, Georgia and Alabama are my top three right now, but Auburn is No. 1. I like Auburn. I like how they run their offense. They are a fast-paced team and I like their receivers. I can tell that their coach (Dameyune Craig) coaches them well. I don't plan on making a commitment until my senior year, but I like Auburn a lot right now."
