AUBURN | Auburn had several of the country's top prospects on campus Saturday to attend the Tigers' annual A-Day game.
Among the large group were Rivals100 DT Antwuan Jackson, Rivals250 QB Jawon Pass and Rivals250 RB Elijah Holyfield.
Here's what the trio had to say about their trips to Auburn.
Rivals100 DT 'loves' AU
Ellenwood, Ga. (Cedar Grove)
On his visit and the A-Day game…
"I loved the pick from (Tray Matthews). And the atmosphere here at Auburn is just awesome to me. I love it. I love it here."
On Auburn commit/friend David Marshall…
"We talked all during the spring game. We talked about how we see ourselves playing at Auburn with each other."
On his recruitment and commitment…
"I'm looking at the schools that need me the most. Auburn is a top school. They are a top school definitely. I don't have a leader, but Georgia, Auburn and Ohio State are my top schools.
"I don't think I'll wait until Signing Day (to commit). I'll most likely make my decision in the fall."
AU co-leader for QB
Columbus, Ga. (Carver)
On his visit…
"It went good. I saw a lot of things that I needed to see. It only made Auburn a better contender. I talked to Coach (Rhett) Lashlee and Coach (Gus) Malzhan. Coach Lashlee told me that I'm their guy and that when I'm ready to commit to let them know. (Being their guy) means a lot, says a lot about how much they really want me."
On AU QB Jeremy Johnson…
"Our game is a lot of like and I saw a lot of good things out of him."
On his recruitment…
"Auburn is definitely in my top two with Louisville. I'd say Auburn and Louisville are neck and neck. I'm not ready to commit, but I'm getting closer. No doubt. I'm just taking my time. I'm going to do it before my senior year.
"Today is probably my last visit until I'll be back at Auburn for Big Cat Weekend in May."
AU impresses Rivals250 RB
College Park, Ga. (Woodward Academy)
On his visit and A-Day…
"Roc (Thomas) had a really good game today. I enjoyed seeing him run because he does some of the same things I do. All of the running backs got to run and to see how much success they had and how mistake-free they were was really cool to see.
On his recruitment and Auburn…
"I'll release my top five after spring practice. Auburn, they want something now, but I'm going to wait for a little while. I'm just trying to keep a level head and see everything first before I say any leaders. I'll be back (at Auburn) for Big Cat Weekend (May 29-31)."
On friend/Auburn DB Tray Matthews…
"He is one of my really good friends. He's been a mentor to me. He's helped me see how college life is, what to expect. He tells me lots of good things about Auburn, how it's a family atmosphere and how he's been really welcomed."
On Madison (Ala.) Academy RB Malik Miller…
"I got to talk to him today. Auburn told me they want two in my class. I think we could make a pretty good tandem."
