AUBURN | Auburn played host to 11 recruits this weekend on official visits, including three of the Tigers' top offensive commitments.

WR Elijah Stove, Niceville, Fla.

On his visit…

“I had a good time. I got to hang out more with the players and my parents got a chance to meet more with the coaches.”

On QB commit Woody Barrett…

“We already built a pretty big bond. We just chilled this weekend and talked about the future.”

On visiting Florida on Jan. 22-24 and Miami on Jan. 29-31…

“I feel the same about Auburn. I’m still going to sign with Auburn. I’m looking around in case I see something different, which I haven’t so I’ll stick with Auburn.”

On Auburn’s coaches…

“They are amazing. They stuck with me through everything. They were the first to offer. They are true to their word. Coach Malzahn and Coach Craig are coming for an in-home visit on my birthday (Thursday, Jan. 21).”

WR Marquis McClain, Crestview, Fla.

On his visit…

“I had a great weekend. My family got a chance to actually see the campus and see what my classes are. I’ll be majoring in Business. We got to see the dorm rooms and just more of the campus. Got to meet all the coaches. I learned a lot on this official visit, and I had a lot of fun, too.”

On the coaches…

“They really didn’t sugarcoat anything this time. They let me know what’s going to happen come summer time. It was a little more eye-opening on what’s about to happen.”

On his expectations…

“Come summer time, I’m going to get with the quarterbacks and the older guys. I’m going to learn from them and they’re going to lead me. I’m just going to come in and work.”

On Nate Craig-Myers…

“He’s cool and funny. Him, Kyle (Davis), Eli (Stove), me and John Franklin III all hung out in the dorm rooms last night. At first I thought (Craig-Myers) was already committed, but I forgot that he de-committed. I thought he was already a Tiger. It would definitely be nice if he was here.”

On his commitment…

“Definitely solid and I’m not going to change. The only reason I would change up is if something major happens and that probably won’t happen.”

On his future at AU…

“I’ll be able to come in and play as a freshman if I come in and work. I’ll be able to play inside and outside more like Sammie Coates and Duke Williams.”

OL Brodarious Hamm, Griffin, Ga. (Spalding)

On the visit…

“It was pretty cool. I got to meet the new offensive line coach, Coach (Herb) Hand. I really kind got to know the coach. He asked me could I play guard or tackle and I told him I could play both of them. That was one of my biggest things getting over here and seeing what he was talking about. The trip went nice, of course the food and just being able to interact with the players and coaches.”

More on Hand…

“He said he cares about his players. He's more than a coach. He's like a father figure. He tries to be a father figure to all his players. He has a relationship with you on the field and off the field. He sounds like a good coach. We sat in the office and talked to him. He explained to me how him and Coach (Gus) Malzahn coached together at Tulsa. I like him. He was saying that on the field he's going to be hard on you, he's really going to push you because he wants to make you a better player. He's going to give you his all and you're going to give him your all.”

On his commitment…

“I'm firmly committed.”
