Neil Caudle visits Michigan camp
It's not a secret that Hoover (Ala.) Spain Park quarterback Neil Caudle has favored Auburn since early in the recruiting process. The 6-foot-2, 191-pounder grew up a Tiger fan and currently has an older sister enrolled on the Plains.
Caudle has made numerous trips to Auburn in the past including participating in a recent camp, but the Tigers aren't the only school he's visited, nor are they the only one he's considering.

Along with Auburn, Caudle has indicated that he has strong interest in Michigan, Louisville and Miami. He has visited Louisville and recently took a trip to Ann Arbor to visit the Wolverines for a three-day camp.
"I went up to Michigan for a camp," said Caudle, who is rated the nation's No. 4 pro-style quarterback and nation's No. 87 overall prospect in the Rivals100. "I went up there last Saturday night and left Tuesday. It went well. There were a lot of people there."
In Michigan, Caudle also had the opportunity to work with Wolverine quarterback coach Scot Loeffler and talk extensively with him as well as tour the campus and the football stadium.
"Coach Loeffler took me and five other guys and worked with us the whole time," said Caudle. "I talked with him the whole camp. We had lunch one day and watched a lot of film.
"We also toured the campus with one of the recruiting guys. We saw the Big House (Michigan's football stadium) and it was nice."
Michigan reminded Caudle of another school he's more familiar with.
"It's like a big Auburn," he said. "It's a college town and everything revolves around Michigan football, but I don't know if they get into it as much as Auburn does, but it's similar.
"It was a little chilly, though. I had to get into a sweatshirt at night. It warmed up during the day, but nothing like down here (in the south)."
Caudle said the trip to Michigan was a good thing for the Wolverines in his recruitment, but he admits that it may not have been enough to surpass Auburn on his list of favorites.
"I think it helped," he said. "I got a good feeling for the atmosphere and how things are up there. It's not what I thought it was going to be. I thought it would be snow everywhere, but there wasn't. It was a good trip, but Auburn still holds a slight lead."
Caudle is done with team camps, but will compete in the EA Sports Elite 11 Camp in California in late July, which will feature the top 12 quarterbacks in the country. Following that trip he believes he will make his commitment to the school of his choice.
"Some time after I get back is when I will do it," he said.
