Looking forward to Sunday

Central-Phenix City cornerback John Broussard doesn't have much time to get acquainted with whomever Gus Malzahn hires to replace Will Muschamp and Travaris Robinson.
Broussard is one of five Auburn defensive commitments scheduled to move to campus on Jan. 10 and begin classes three days later. The recruiting dead period is Dec. 14-Jan. 13.
Broussard, with just a week left before the dead period begins, wasn't happy to see the two coaches set off for South Carolina on Sunday.
"That's the biggest drawback, that it happened so late in my recruitment," Broussard said. "But I know how it is. I know they have to do what's best for them."
Broussard was scheduled to have an in-home visit with Malzahn, Muschamp and Robinson on Sunday. The visit was postponed to Sunday, Dec. 13, the day before the start of the dead period.
Broussard gladly will wait for his in-home visit if it means he'll get to meet the new coordinator. And according to Malzahn, Broussard will.
"Coach Malzahn called and said they would come (Dec. 13) after he hires a defensive coordinator," Broussard said. "Coach Malzahn said he was still going to come after me hard. He said he's going to hire a defensive coordinator and then bring him for his in-home visit."
The conversation with Malzahn eased concerns Broussard had earlier in the day.
"It made me feel better after talking to him because I know Coach Malzahn is going to pick the right person," Broussard said. "I had a really good relationship with both of them (Muschamp and Robinson) since January when they came to Auburn. They recruited me hard and those two were big reasons why I chose Auburn.
"But I'm still committed to Auburn. I just want to see who they are going to hire."
He expects to on Sunday.
Rivals ranks Broussard the No. 198 overall player in 2016 and the No. 6 player from Alabama. Broussard finished his senior season with 35 tackles, including 23 solos, and one interception.
