AUBURN | Auburn played host to approximately 35 recruits for its first Junior Day for the 2018 recruiting class.

Among the large group of visitors in Auburn on Jan. 28 were several in-state recruits, including defensive end Andres Fox, running back Tae Provens and defensive end Malik Langham.

Auburn Junior Day…

“It was great. The weight room and indoor facility stood out. I love the atmosphere. I love the coaches. I like (Rodney Garner). He's a great coach.”

“Auburn, Penn State, Mississippi State, Arizona, Southern Miss, Troy, UAB, South Alabama., Indiana.”

Top schools…

“Auburn, Penn State and Mississippi State.”

Auburn’s coaches…

“(Auburn) has been looking at me since my freshmen year, so ever since my freshman year, me and Coach (Tim) Horton have built a relationship talking on the phone. He just talks to me about my family, talks to me about my day. Of course, football is going to be there, but we talk beyond football.”

Stands out about Auburn…

“Everything. It's family. You come down here you're going to love it.”

An offer from Auburn…

“They offered me my sophomore year when I was down at the beach for track."

Visits…

“I’m going to go to Ole Miss next weekend. Then on Feb. 18 I'm going to take a trip down to Knoxville.”

“I plan on committing before the season starts.”

“I don’t, but Auburn is going to be in it until the end.”

“It went very good. The family atmosphere, the coaches and the facilities are very nice. It's just a good place to come.”

“Not yet. The coaches were just ‘like keep working hard.’”
