AUBURN | Bruce Pearl and staff are on pace to sign their best recruiting class at Auburn.

The Tigers have commitments from two of the top 34 players in the country in five-star center Austin Wiley (15) and four-star point guard Davion Mitchell (34). The pair ranked No. 1 in the country in Rivals.com’s team rankings, which last were updated in June.

Auburn is looking to double the number of players in the class before the early signing period begins Nov. 11. The Tigers would like to add a forward and a shooting guard to go with the point guard and center already committed.

** Pearl and the assistants have been on the road scouting for the right players to fit those needs. Auburn has attended AAU tournaments in Orlando, Miami and Las Vegas during the evaluation period, and appear to be in good shape to close the class strong.
