His own reasons

AUBURN, Ala. | Spain Park five-star Austin Wiley likes Auburn for the right reasons, not because Dad starred there in the 90s or that his mother is the biggest star and all-time leading scorer.
"I like Auburn because it feels right to me," Wiley said.
Wiley, ranked the No. 15 overall player in 2017, got to feel the atmosphere in Auburn again this weekend. The five-star power forward arrived on campus Saturday and stayed through Sunday.
Wiley's father, Aubrey Wiley, and mother, Vickie Orr Wiley, were with him.
"It was amazing," Austin Wiley said after the visit. "I talked to Coach (Bruce) Pearl, all the players, the coaching staff, just spent time with them getting to know them all better.
"We had an amazing time. It gets better every time I come down here. I just love it more and more."
Wiley, who is listed at 6-foot-10 and 240 pounds, was one of nine 2017 Rivals150 recruits in Auburn on Saturday. The group, and a handful of 2018 and 2016 recruits, played 5-on-5 full-court games.
Wiley wasn't able to play during his visit as he recovers from injury, but he was involved during the games. He watched, cheered, talked and even coached Sunday during Auburn's Elite Camp.
"It was good to see all of the recruits at Auburn," Wiley said. "You don't normally see talent like this, as much talent at one time at Auburn as you did this weekend. It was impressive. It tells you the program is headed in the right direction."
The reason for Wiley's optimism is simple.
"Coach Pearl," Wiley said. "He's a great coach and has a great coaching staff. They are all great coaches and good people so they are going to get good talent and win games."
Wiley strongly is considering being part of the future at Auburn under Pearl. Visits like this weekend make him want to return.
"It's a family atmosphere, a great coaching staff with great players and just good people," Wiley said. "I love it here and I'll be back for a football game and at least one basketball game. And I'll most likely take an official visit to Auburn."
Wiley doesn't plan to make a commitment any time soon. He recently trimmed his list to eight: Auburn, Alabama, Duke, Florida, Kansas, LSU, Mississippi Sate and UAB.
Rivals ranks Wiley the No. 3 power forward in the 2017 class.
