Harkless commits to Auburn

Just a week after his official visit, Jamarrion Harkless announced his commitment to Auburn.

The 3-star defensive lineman out of Kentucky is the Tigers' ninth commitment in the 2023 class and comes less than a week after wide receiver Adam Hopkins also committed.

Harkless is the third member on the defensive front, joining edge rushers Wilky Denaud and Ashley Williams Jr.

Growing up, Auburn was the team for Harkless. He got to fulfill his dreams of watching the Tigers play from the field last week during his official visit, and now, will fulfill his dream of suiting up for the Tigers.

Harkless was committed to Illinois for over two months following his official visit back in the summer. Auburn stayed in contact throughout that time and when he de-committed in early August, the Tigers came knocking.

Auburn beat out Ole Miss for Harkless, who took an official visit to the Rebels just a week prior to visiting Auburn.

Now committed, the No. 4 player in Kentucky also joins center Bradyn Joiner, safety Terrance Love, running back Jeremiah Cobb, cornerback Jacorious Hart and wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey, along with the other commits previously mentioned in the Tigers' 2023 class.
