Armwood (Seffner, Fla.) five-star defensive end Byron Cowart woke up Thursday and felt he wanted to "clear things up" and apologize for what transpired less than 24 hours before.
The No. 1 overall prospect reiterated that, despite what Armwood coach Sean Callahan relayed to Rivals.com national analyst Mike Farrell on Wednesday, Cowart's signature never appeared on more than one National Letter of Intent.
Cowart issued a statement about it. Farrell then tweeted proof.
Just to really clear things up i asked my coach to hold one letter the only letter i sginned was Auburn but sorry for the confusion #WDE- Byron Cowart (@ByronHawkStar99) February 5, 2015

Auburn made a strong push to flip Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) three-star defensive lineman G.G. Robinson from Louisville, but it was too late.
Robinson, the son of former Auburn defensive end Gerald Robinson, decided to remain loyal and sign with the Cards.
It wasn't an easy decision. Robinson expressed how difficult it was Wednesday night on Twitter.
Hardest day of my life to say no to committing to my dream school, Auburn and sign with Louisville.… http://t.co/4s9qPbsrGl- GG (@GGRobinson85) February 5, 2015

Gus and Kristi Malzahn wrapped up National Signing Day with a trip to their favorite dive, Waffle House.
The Malzahns are known for frequenting the breakfast-food establishment after games, but made an exception Wednesday evening after Auburn signed the Rivals.com's No. 6-rated recruiting class.
