Yesterday, Sylvester Smith was committed to Tennessee.

Now he's committed to Auburn.

Smith announced his de-commitment from Tennessee late Saturday night, following a visit to Auburn. Less than 24 hours later, the Munford, Ala., native announced he was instead pledging to Auburn.

He joins Terrance Love as the second safety in the Tigers' 2023 class.

Smith committed to Tennessee in April of this year and his offer list grew to nearly 30 offers. He's the seventh 4-star in Tiger's 2023 class and rated as the second-highest Auburn commit, coming in at No. 101 in the Rivals 250 rankings.

He's the No. 13 player in Alabama, and among safeties, listed as the fifth-best safety in the class.
