AUBURN | Auburn's Marcus Davis, T.J. Davis and Deshaun Davis are no longer the only three Davises on the team.
There are now six, thanks to a trifecta scored by Auburn on Wednesday.
Ryan Davis, Javarius Davis and Carlton Davis all added their name to the Tigers' roster by adding their signature to a National Letter of Intent.
Ryan Davis, a Rivals100 four-star wide receiver, chose Auburn over in-state Florida. So did Javarius Davis, a four-star cornerback from Ed White High in Jacksonville, Fla. Carlton Davis dropped national champion Ohio State for the Tigers. Carlton Davis, 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, is a Rivals250 four-star cornerback from Norland (Miami, Fla.).
AuburnSports.com asked the three new Davises about their reasons for signing with the Tigers, when they knew Auburn was their choice and when they informed the Auburn coaches.

RYAN DAVIS, WR, St. Petersburg, Fla. (Lakewood)
What were your main reasons for signing with Auburn over in-state Florida?
"I felt like Auburn's offense fit me better. I didn't really know what Florida was going to run. I couldn't really tell what they are going to do. They showed me some stuff on film, but I had never seen it on the field. Also, Auburn has a quarterback. I know what they have coming in. I just felt like the offense, the way they use the slot receivers and the outside receivers and get them out in space, would be a great fit for my style of play.
"The coaching staff was also a big reason. They are more stable and set than Florida. Florida doesn't have a receivers coach and I'd like to have a relationship with the coach that coaches my position. That was a factor, and so were Coach T-Rob (Travaris Robinson) and Coach (Will) Muschamp."
Do you remember when exactly you knew you would sign with Auburn?
"I knew a lot more about Auburn after my visit (Jan. 16-18) and I liked Auburn a lot more, but I hadn't made up my mind. Being from Florida, I still had to visit Florida. I went last weekend (Jan. 30-Feb. 1) and when I got back, I sat down and broke everything down, talked more and more with the coaches. The day before Signing Day, that's when I knew 100 percent that Auburn was the better fit."
When did you inform the Auburn coaches?
"The day before Signing Day. I called them Tuesday and told them. They were excited and so was I."

CARLTON DAVIS, CB, Miami, Fla. (Norland)
What were your main reasons for signing with Auburn over national champion Ohio State?
"I felt more comfortable at Auburn. It was more of a family atmosphere, and it is also closer for me and my family. There is also a good chance at early playing time at Auburn. Gus Malzahn is a great head coach and he runs a great program. Auburn has great tradition and I think we will win a 'natty' (national championship) while I'm there. Auburn is just an all-around great fit for me."
Do you remember when exactly you knew you would sign with Auburn?
"The day I left my visit (Sunday, Jan. 25), I knew it was Auburn."
When did you inform the Auburn coaches?
"Coach Muschamp and Coach T-Rob came to my house that Tuesday night (Jan. 27) and I told them I was coming to Auburn."

JAVARIUS DAVIS, CB, Jacksonville, Fla. (Ed White)
What were your main reasons for signing with Auburn over in-state Florida?
"It came down to those two schools, but I just felt like my relationship was better with the coaches at Auburn. The new coaching staff at Florida is going to do some big things there, but I just felt like Auburn was the best place for me. I feel like I have a good chance to compete and play early, and I also feel like we have a really good (recruiting) class. We are going to do big things at Auburn."
Do you remember when exactly you knew you would sign with Auburn?
"I kind of knew after my Auburn visit (Jan. 16-18). I was pretty sure, but I still had to visit Florida (Jan. 30-Feb. 1). Florida was my dream school and it's close to home, but after that visit my mom and I talked and we thought it would be good for me to go a little farther from home. She thinks it would be good for me, that it would help me grow as a person, be more mature and more independent. We both decided Auburn is perfect. It's not too close and it's not too far away."
When did you inform the Auburn coaches?
"I called and told them (Wednesday) morning. They kind of had an idea. I had talked to Carlton (Davis) and Jeffery (Holland) the day before and knew they were coming."
