Tadarian Moultry couldn't have done much more.

Jackson-Olin's senior linebacker and Auburn commitment had one of the best games of his high school career, although it came in a 13-12 loss to Homewood.

Moultry had 14 tackles against the Patriots, including 10 solos and four tackles-for-loss, three quarterback-pressures and a sack.

"He had a big game," Jackson-Olin coach Tim Vakakes said. "He is the heartbeat of our team. He has to help us get back up after a gut-wrenching loss."

The loss was the first setback of the season for Jackson-Olin, which is now 2-1 entering this week's game against John Carroll.

Stats: Moultry had 14 tackles, 10 of which were solos, four tackles-for-loss, a sack and three quarterback-pressures.

Stats: Askew completed 10-of-15 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 78 yards.

Stats: Carlson was 5-of-5 on extra point attempts and 3-of-5 on field goal attempts with a long of 49 yards.
