Clark, parents visit Auburn

Rivals100 athlete Ronnie Clark visited Auburn again on Saturday, making this the second time he's visited the Plains inside of the last month.

The purpose behind this visit was for Clark to bring his parents to see the Tigers' program. He felt like the visit was a success.

"We took a tour of the campus. I had to get my mom and dad to see the coaching staff," Clark said. "It went well like it always does. My sister came down here to see everything -- they thought it was awesome. They like the whole coaching staff.

"We'll talk more once we get home, but right now I think they like Auburn from their expressions. I'm a family type guy so I like my family to be around."

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Clark has become very familiar with the Auburn program going back to his visits beginning last year. And his lead recruiter, safeties coach Charlie Harbison, recruited Clark while he was previously at Clemson. So there's more familiarity there.

"The people are great, the new staff are caring people," he said. "They get along with my mom and dad. They are cool with my parents and they let my mom know I'll be taken care of.

"Cool guy, I've known him since he was at Clemson. He's an all around good guy."

Clark's family is originally from Louisiana. They moved to Calera for his mother's job after Hurricane Katrina. Clark said much of his family is LSU fans. The last month and a half, Clark has now visited Auburn and Alabama twice. Proximity to home may be the reason for the frequent visits, but the Tigers and the Tide are making an impression.

"They are standing out. I'm trying to get my family -- my dad is getting back in town, so we're trying to take all these visits," he said.

"I like they have the people at both places. You have to find what place fits you. They are both good schools and you can't go wrong at either school. I still have to take visits, but I think they both are good schools. I don't see which one stands out. I just want to take my time to see what each offers."

Clark said he would like to visit South Carolina and Vanderbilt this summer also. He plans a decision possibly before his senior season begins, but most likely into his senior season.
