Auburn wins Game Two in Cancun

Auburn jumped out to a 16-1 lead en route to a 90-74 victory over the Quintana Roo Pioneros in the second game of its Cancun tour Friday.
After being strapped with foul trouble Thursday, Josh Dollard scored the first nine points for the Tigers and set the tone for the rest of the game. He finished with 14 points.

Auburn led 25-6 after the first quarter, bettering its defensive effort in the first game when it only allowed eight second quarter points.
"I thought we started the game very well and kind of played with them the rest of the way," said Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo. "Quan did some good things, and Quantez was an iron man again. He ran our team very well in the abscence of DeWayne Reed by playing a lot of minutes.
"We moved the ball offensively, got good looks at the bucket, and you have to be pleased with that."
Rasheen Barrett scored all 16 of his points in the first half in helping the Tigers to a 47-24 halftime lead. Prowell led the Tigers with 18 points while Korvotney Barber added 15 points, including four thunderous dunks and two mid-ramge jump shots.
"We came out better than we did last night," said Prowell. "We moved the ball real well, and that is where most of our points came from."
"The conditions of where we are playing are taking its toll on us gradually, but we will be alright tomorrow."
Lucas Hargrove added 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Frank Tolbert had 9 points, Quantez Robertson 6 points and Matt Heramb 2. Drew Smith played but did not score.
