AUBURN | Auburn’s campus and facilities were the same on Saturday as they were on Tadarian Moultry’s previous visits, but the four-star linebacker and Auburn commitment’s perspective was a bit different.

“It’s not a visit for me anymore,” Moultry said. “It's my new home.”

Moultry, who is from Jackson-Olin in Birmingham, was one of approximately 10 recruits in Auburn last weekend. He arrived in Auburn on Friday and stayed until Saturday afternoon.

Moultry was joined on the overnight visit by his teammate, junior defensive end Coynis Miller, who was offered by Auburn last week.

“We had a great time,” Moultry said. “We played a lot of games, hung out and bonded with other commitments and recruits and got to spend a lot of time with the coaches.”

Moultry was one of three Auburn commitments in town Saturday, joining cornerback Malcolm Askew, linebacker Chandler Wooten and offensive tackle Austin Troxell, who committed Saturday at the end of his visit.

The commitments spent time with some of Auburn’s top targets, including two four-star linebacker recruits, K.J. Britt and Tyler Taylor.

“All of the commitments want the same thing,” Moultry said. “We want to have the best class in the country. We want all of the recruits to know that we have something special going on at Auburn."

If having a top class means making extra trips from Birmingham to Auburn to recruit and not be recruited, it’s fine by Moultry.

“I’ll do whatever I can to help make this class the best,” Moultry said. “I’ll do whatever I can to help Auburn.”

Rivals ranks Moultry, who stands 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, No. 100 in the Rivals100 and the No. 8 outside linebacker in the 2017 class.
