AUBURN | Auburn made a big move Saturday for one of its top cornerback recruits.

Kyler McMichael, a four-star athlete/cornerback from GAC in Duluth, Ga., spent the day touring the campus and facilities and meeting with the Auburn coaches, including defensive backs coach Greg Brown.

“It was great,” McMichael said “I loved it. The campus is beautiful. I got to see a lot more of it as well as the dorms. And me and Coach Brown got our relationship going. I got to talk to the coaches and listen to everything they had to say.”

McMichael liked what he heard.

“Everything they said was sincere,” McMichael said.

Auburn now finds itself among McMichael’s top schools.

“Auburn is a top, top school,” he said. “I narrowed it down to five schools: Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Clemson.”

McMichael plans to return to Auburn for Big Cat on June 3.

“I will definitely be back for that,” he said.

A commitment could come before the end of the summer.

“If not before the season, then I’ll do it midway through,” he said.

Rivals ranks McMichael, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 185 pounds, the No. 18 athlete in the class and No. 225 in the Rivals250.
