AUBURN | The suspense is over for one of the nation’s top unsigned prospects.

Stephen Davis Jr., a four-star athlete from Dutch Fork in Irmo, S.C., announced on Twitter that he would attend Auburn.

Davis, who is the son of former Auburn and NFL running back Stephen Davis, originally committed to Auburn in August of 2014 but de-committed last fall. He officially visited Auburn in January but did not sign with a school on National Signing Day in February.

Davis moved from defensive back to running back as a senior but suffered a season-ending knee injury in the third game.

Davis plans to enroll at Auburn in time for the start of preseason practice on Aug. 3.
