AUBURN | Four-star offensive tackle Josh Ball was a day early for Auburn's "Big Cat" event, but it didn't take away from the four-star's visit.
"It was awesome," Ball said. "I had a great time. I loved it."
Ball, 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, was in Auburn for a half-day on Friday. He made the trip down from his hometown of Fredericksburg, Va.
"I got to speak with the coaches, Coach (J.B.) Grimes and Coach (Gus) Malzahn, and really enjoyed that," Ball said. "I also got to look around campus and saw everything. Everything was really nice."
Ball had never been to Auburn and wasn't sure where the Tigers stood with him before Friday. After the visit, however, it's clear.
"Auburn is definitely up top now," Ball said. "The visit really helped. I just loved it. Auburn is definitely one of my top schools. They are very, very high on my list."
Ball left Auburn and traveled to Tallahassee, Fla. where he'll visit Florida State. A return trip to Auburn in the fall is already in the works.
"I'll definitely be back for a game," Ball said.
Rivals ranks Ball the No. 25 offensive tackle and No. 9 recruit from Virginia.
