AUBURN | Jackson-Olin four-star defensive lineman Coynis Miller expected Auburn’s defense to be good in 2017, and yet the Tigers still exceeded his expectations Saturday night against Georgia Southern.

Miller watched from the stands inside Jordan-Hare Stadium as Auburn held the Eagles’ triple-option offense to 78 total yards and zero points.

“They’re better than I thought they were going to be,” Miller said. “They were flying to the ball and making plays. They were just playing good, getting after it.”
