The 2016 defensive lineman from Wenonah in Birmingham, Ala., committed to Auburn during a visit Saturday, two weeks after initially announcing his intentions of being a Tiger.
Williams made it official after meeting with Auburn's coaching staff including head coach Gus Malzahn.
"He's always been an Auburn fan growing up," said his father, Quincy Williams Sr.. "The majority of his passwords on his computer and Twitter account have something to do with Auburn. He's just living out his childhood dream now.
"I've visited Auburn several times, I've visited with coaches and I'm very pleased with the progress they're making down there. I just gave him my blessing to follow his heart."
Williams, 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds, also had an offer from Ole Miss and interest from several other schools. He had 38 tackles, 9.0 tackles-for-loss, 6.0 sacks and one caused fumble through six games as a junior.
"Auburn is getting a very humble player, very open-minded, very down-to-earth, very smart kid," Williams Sr. said. "He understands the game and understands that classwork comes first. He lost his mom four years ago so that humbled him a lot. He's just a great kid. I'm very proud of him on the field, off the field and in the classroom."
He is Auburn's fifth commitment in the 2016 class joining 5-star wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers, 4-star athlete Stephen Davis Jr., 3-star tight end Landon Rice and 3-star running back Jalin Buie.
