"I wanted them to see the facilities and everything and get a feel for it," Hill said.
According to Hill, his family liked what they saw and felt.
"They got a good vibe from it," Hill said. "They liked it and they liked the atmosphere."
Hill and family met extensively with Herb Hand and Gus Malzahn. The Rivals100 recruit has developed strong bonds with Auburn's coaches.
"(Malzahn) told me that I'm a top priority," Hill said. "And me and Coach Hand have a really good relationship. We've been talking for about two years now. We talked a lot today about ball, about X's and O's."
Hill doesn't list any favorites, but said Auburn is very high on his list. He plans to return for at least one game in the fall, but is unsure at this time whether or not he'll take an official visit to Auburn (he's not sure of any visits at this time).
"Auburn is in it with me a lot," Hill said. "I like Auburn because it has a family feel. They have a great coaching staff that I think can get me to where I need to be. They have recruited me hard and never given up on me."
Hill will visit Clemson on Saturday. He plans to take his official visits in the fall before announcing a commitment in late December.
Hill would like to see how some colleges fare in the fall before making a decision in the winter.
"Wins and losses will matter to me in some aspect," Hill said. "You want to go to a winning team."
