AUBURN | Jarrett Stidham will finish his college career at Auburn, the former Baylor quarterback announced Saturday on his Twitter account.

"These last 6 months have been crazy and the craziness is finally over," Stidham's tweet read. "Time to start my next chapter at Auburn University!"

Stidham's announcement comes a day after Auburn coach Gus Malzahn and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee both made an in-home visit with the quarterback in his hometown of Stephenville, Texas.

Stidham played in 10 games as a freshman for Baylor in 2015, but transferred after Art Briles was fired. He did not play the 2016 season, instead electing to take classes at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas.

Stidham visited Auburn on three occasions during the fall, including an official visit last week.

Stidham will provide Auburn with an experienced and talented quarterback for the 2017 season. During his only year at Baylor, Stidham started three games and played in 10, completing 75-of-109 passes (68 percent) for 1,265 yards with 12 touchdowns and only two interceptions.

Stidham will transfer to Auburn in January and be immediately eligible. He will have three years to play at Auburn.
