Auburn is the school to beat for Rivals250 offensive lineman Parker Pritchett.

He visited campus Wednesday for an unofficial visit, his first trip back to the Plains since the Tigers' Junior Day in late January.

"It was a chance to come here and visit and talk to Coach (Hugh) Freeze," Pritchett said. "It was just a great time here."

The offensive lineman out of Columbus, Ga., arrived on campus in the afternoon, greeted by most of the offensive staff. It meant a lot to the four-star that the Tigers' showed him that much love.

"I'm a priority here," Pritchett said. "So that's all, that's been...Just the staff and the smiles, it was great."

Following the visit, he has a leader in his recruitment.

"They are the top school for me," Pritchett said of Auburn. "So yeah, the top school for me."

What's got the Tigers in the driver's seat?

"Just the constant communication and the staff is great too," Pritchett said.

Pritchett is planning to go through the official visit process and have a decision sometime in June. His official visit to Auburn is set for May 30-June 1. He will also take official visits to Texas A&M (June 6-8), Mississippi State (June 13-15) and Georgia (June 20-22).

He'll return to Auburn before then, though.

"I'll be here for a spring practice," Pritchett said.
