AUBURN | Bruce Pearl and his staff took another step in building one of the nation's best recruiting classes for 2024.
Four-star point guard Labaron Philon from Baker in Mobile, Ala., the No. 60 overall player in the class, committed to Auburn Friday.
Philon chose the Tigers over five other finalists: Kansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss and Arkansas.
Philon is joined by point guard Tahaad Pettiford, who committed Wednesday, and center Peyton Marshall to give Auburn three top 60 players in the class.
Philon, 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, is averaging an impressive 36.3 points per game as a junior along with 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.5 steals. He averaged 24.7 points as a sophomore and 15.8 as a freshman at Baker.
Pettiford is scheduled to sign with Auburn in November of 2023 and enroll for the 2024-25 season.
