AUBURN | Arkansas is one of the SEC’s best scoring offenses and undefeated when it scores 80 or more points. Auburn is one of the league’s worst defenses.

It’s not a matchup that Bruce Pearl believes the Tigers can win so they’ll have to out-score the Razorbacks Saturday night at Auburn Arena to have a chance to pull off an upset.

“They turn it over 11 times a game, so you try to find an offensive weakness in them, and there really aren’t any,” Pearl said. “They get to the rim, they make their free throws, they got an inside game, they got an outside game, they score fast. They got two guys that can really — dangerous three-point shooters.

“We’re going to have to score points to beat them, because they’re going to score.”

Arkansas is led by senior guard Dusty Hannahs, who averages 14.5 points and shoots 38.3 percent from 3-point range. The Razorbacks have one of the SEC’s top big men in Moses Kingsley, who averages 11.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game.

Arkansas averages 81.1 points per game and shoots 37.7 percent from 3-point range, both second in the SEC. Auburn is allowing 79.4 points per game, 13th in the conference.

The Razorbacks come into the game 21-7 overall and 10-5 in the SEC, riding a four-game winning streak. Jerry Palm currently projects Arkansas as a No. 10 seed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament while Auburn, 17-11 overall and 6-9 in the SEC, is hoping to earn an NIT bid with a strong finish.

“There’s a lot at stake for both teams,” Pearl said. “Arkansas is in the field right now and we’re trying to get into a postseason field and trying to build on what we’ve done to this point, how hard we’ve ground and how hard we’ve worked too to be in position.”

Tip-off on the SEC Network is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.
