Tray Bishop will get an opportunity to play quarterback at Auburn, and understandably so.

The Terrell County (Ga.) senior and Auburn commitment has shown in the first two games that he’s more than capable.

Bishop, the Greenwave’s dual-threat quarterback, has accounted for five touchdowns and nearly 600 yards of total offense while completing 73.7-percent of his passes without an interception.

Bishop’s latest outing came Friday in a 29-20 loss to Miller County. He rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries and completed 13-of-18 passes for 134 yards and a score.

Season totals: Bishop has rushed 22 times for 310 yards (14.1 avg.) and two touchdowns, and completed 28-of-38 passes (73.7%) for 272 yards with three touchdowns. He also an interception on defense.

Game: Southside beat Hokes Bluff, 44-29

Stats: Williams rushed for 140 yards on 14 carries in Southside's 44-29 win over Hokes Bluff on Friday, but it came at a cost. Williams suffered a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee, which required surgery Monday. He’s expected to miss 4-6 weeks recovering.

Season totals: In two games, Williams rushed for 328 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries. He also has two receptions for 54 yards and a score.

Game: Jackson-Olin beat Central-Tuscaloosa, 38-7

Stats: Moultry was in on 10 tackles, including one solo, and had two quarterback-pressures.

Season totals: Moultry has 20 tackles, including seven solos, one tackle-for-loss, six quarterback-pressures, one pass break-up and a forced fumble.

Game: North Cobb beat Etowah, 24-20

Stats: Wooten recorded nine tackles, including eight solos and a tackle-for-loss.

Season totals: Wooten has 20 tackles, 16 of which are solos, a sack, two tackles-for-loss and a pass break-up.

Game: McAdory beat Dallas County, 33-7

Stats: Askew, playing quarterback, was 4-of-10 passing for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards on six carries.

Season totals: Askew has completed 8-of-25 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed eight times for 58 yards. He also has one interception on defense.

Game: Muscle Shoals lost to Spain Park, 35-12

Stats: Recorded 12 tackles, including eight solos, and a forced fumble.

Season totals: Peters had 22 tackles (13 solos) and blocked a punt.
