AUBURN | Jonesboro (Ga.) cornerback Jordan Griffin had a memorable visit to Auburn on Thursday.
He saw the campus and facilities for the first time, and then performed well enough in a half-day camp to receive an offer.
"They loved my performance, my arms, my technique, the whole nine yards," Griffin said. "I still have a lot of things to work on, but for the most part it was great."
Griffin, who is committed to Kentucky, learned of the Auburn offer following camp.
"It's truly a blessing," Griffin said. "I'm at a loss for words. I give all the glory to the Man Upstairs."
Griffin, 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, worked during camp with Auburn secondary coach Travaris Robinson. He also spent time with defensive coordinator Will Muschamp.
"It was a tremendous experience," Griffin said. "It was my first time here, and then going out there and competing, getting coached by great coaches like Coach T-Rob and Coach Muschamp was tremendous."
Griffin remains committed to the Wildcats, but still plans to take other visits. One likely will be a return trip to Auburn.
"I plan on coming back for a game," Griffin said. "I'm still going to continue going through the recruiting process."
Rivals ranks Griffin the No. 38 cornerback in the 2016 class.
