In-state cornerback visiting Auburn

Auburn on Thursday will practice for the first time of the spring and at least one visitor will be there to watch.

Cordale Flott, a heavily-recruited cornerback from Saraland, will make his first visit to Auburn and bring with him his mother, father, sister and cousin.

“I want to build a relationship with the coaches, see the campus and watch practice,” Flott said.

Flott already has begun building a bond with two Auburn coaches. He’s been in contact recently with defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson and area recruiter Travis Williams.

“Coach Woodson is a great person,” Flott said. “He has shown he cares about my future. I’m looking forward to getting to know him and Coach T-Will.”

Flott has extra incentive to visit Auburn. The Tigers extended an offer on Wednesday.

“I’d been talking to them throughout the week and then my coach came around noon and told me they’d offered,” Flott said. “I was very excited.”

Flott also received offers from Tennessee, Mississippi State and Arkansas on Wednesday, four days after visiting and earning an offer from Alabama.

“It was a great day,” Flott said.

Flott also has offers from Ole Miss, Memphis, Purdue, Southern Miss, Louisiana-Lafayette, Tulane, Central Florida and Troy, among others.
