AUBURN | Michael Harris signed with Auburn in December. His recruitment is over, but Harris isn’t done with recruiting. He still has work to do for Auburn.

Harris, a four-star linebacker from Tucker, Ga., is helping Auburn recruit his former teammate, four-star offensive lineman Dylan Wonnum, as well as Brookwood (Snellville, Ga.) four-star athlete Matthew Hill.

The three were in Auburn over the weekend on official visits.

“I was in Dylan’s ear every second,” Harris said. “Hopefully he’ll join the family, but he still has his options that he’s talking about.”

South Carolina appears to be the main option for Wonnum. His older brother, D.J., is a defensive end for the Gamecocks.

Hill is committed to Auburn where he projects to play wide receiver. Clemson, however, is doing all it can to change his mind. Hill plans to visit Clemson later this month. Clemson is recruiting Hill to play defensive back.

Harris is helping Auburn keep Hill committed, and he’ll continue to do so through Signing Day.

“Matt, that’s my guy,” Harris said. “I’m actually about to start training with him back home. I’ll be in his ear until he signs, and he tells me that he’s still going to sign.”

Harris is confident Hill will remain loyal to Auburn and sign with the Tigers. The two plan to be roommates at Auburn.

“I’ll room with Matthew (at Auburn),” Harris said.

Harris said he is scheduled to move to Auburn May 27. He’ll compete at middle linebacker once summer camp opens in August.

Rivals ranks Harris, who is 6-foot-2 and weighs 211 pounds, the No. 9 inside linebacker in the 2018 class and No. 185 in the Rivals250.
