SUWANEE, Ga. | Archer (Lawrenceville, Ga.) junior defensive back Isaiah Pryor received an offer from Auburn last weekend, becoming the sixth player from Archer now with an offer from the Tigers.
Pryor, 6-foot-2 and 191 pounds, learned the news while visiting Auburn last Saturday for an unofficial Junior Day.
"I knew they really liked me," Pryor said. "But finding out on the visit (about the offer), I was very excited, very grateful."
It was Pryor's first visit to Auburn. He arrived in time to tour the campus, talk to the coaches and watch the Tigers practice.
"It was very nice," Pryor said. "I really like the campus, and seeing the way they practiced, I felt really comfortable there.
"I talked to Coach Will Muschamp, Coach (Travaris) Robinson and Coach Lance Thompson. I was very glad that I was able to go over there and talk to them. I really like the coaches."
Pryor considered the visit a preview for a return trip. There are still things at Auburn he wants to see and learn more about.
"It's a very nice campus and it has a great atmosphere," he said. "But I didn't get to see the academics. I'll definitely be back at Auburn because I want to see that part of it.
"Once I get to go back and look at the academic program, I can get more of an overall feel. I really liked everything I saw. Everything was really nice."
Pryor, who was one of the top defensive backs Saturday at the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour stop in Suwanee, Ga., now has offers from Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee and Georgia Tech, among others.
Auburn also has offered Archer offensive lineman E.J. Price, linebacker Donta Evans, receiver Kyle Davis, defensive back Dylan Singleton and Pryor's fellow 2017 defensive back Jamyest Williams. The (AU) Tigers now have offered three of the Tigers' (AHS) four starting defensive backs.
