Tim Yeldon knew well before anyone else.
His son, Rivals100 running back T.J. Yeldon, wanted to go to Auburn.

"He's been real high on Auburn for a long time," Tim Yeldon said. "He's always talked differently about Auburn when he talked about his schools."
Tuesday, T.J. Yeldon made the decision. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound four-star informed the Auburn coaches of his commitment to signing with the Tigers.
"He's very excited about it," said Tim Yeldon. "He's excited about being an Auburn Tiger and so are my wife and me."
Tim Yeldon said he and his wife, Kim Yeldon, both endorse their son's decision to sign with Auburn. They saw some of the same things their son did while visiting Auburn. They heard the same things as he did while talking to the Tigers coaches.
"We let him make his own decision and we think he made a great one," said Tim Yeldon. "Auburn is a great place. T.J. liked the Auburn Family, the campus, the coaches, the offense, everything.
"He loves it there and so do we…we love it at Auburn."
Tim Yeldon said one of the main reasons is the Auburn coaches including running backs coach Curtis Luper, who is recruiting Yeldon to Auburn.
"I have talked to Coach Luper plenty of times, sat down and talked to him plenty of times," said Tim Yeldon. "Same for Coach (Gene) Chizik, Coach (Gus) Malzahn, Coach Trooper (Taylor)…all of them.
"My wife and I really like the coaches. We are very comfortable sending our son away to them. They are great people."
According to Tim Yeldon, T.J.'s recruitment is over.
"He's done. He's all Auburn," said Tim Yeldon. "You can put a stamp on it."
