It was a nice run, but the braves appear to be completely out of gas. Without something drastic happening to turn around the offense, the braves will not even be leading the wild card by early next week. It will be very sad if Bobby's last team plays great baseball for most of the year and then collapses down the stretch.

If prado and heyward can get hot again they will make playoffs. If they done, they are done.

So far in 17 innings while playing the worst team in baseball, we have scored 1 run. That's right 1 run. We are done. We should be kicking these guys tails as we get in a groove to get to the playoffs. The Phillies will pass us and the Giants won't be far behind. Makes me sick really to have such a great May - August and then get to September, crunch time, and fold like cheap suits. Sickening.

Might be good for them to lose the lead tonight - light a fire under their asses maybe.
Our trades have not done anything at all.

We will see but looks toi be that we will need to scramble from here on out - Cox isn't going to panic that is for sure. I wish we had Chip's bat right now!

Heyward has been on fire lately and has 2 hits tonight. Raising his average from .250 to .285 in a little over a month is pretty incredible.

I would say people behind him need to start with the timely hits.

Yeah, I just looked at stats and Heyward, Prado, and Brian have all been hitting well. If you look after the cleanup spot the lineup is full of crap. That is what needs to pick it up. Too many automatic outs.

Why not move Heyward down in the order and give him more RBI chances. Move someone like Gonzo up and use him as a get him over type hitter.

Wow... the tone has really changed around here... for the record I didn't think the phils would catch the braves... so don't all u braves fans give up so early... this is going down to the last weekend... although I am happy to point out that Penz biased prediction of how this would play has not happened and phills have caught the braves

Dang, y'all are giving up too easy. We MIGHT NOT win the division or the wild card, BUT I'm not giving up yet...not yet. Go Braves!

We do not have a player that can carry us right now at the plate. Heyward will be that guy in the future though. There

but I saw this coming. I wasn't sure if the braves would choke, but the Phillies have proven over the past few years that they could get it going in september and october. The braves have not done that, and it looks like they won't again this year. Sucks because I don't like seeing all of my fellow Auburn fans all down in the dumps. I hope yall make the playoffs, and you have the pitching to do it. Don't give up.

Yeah, it was really biased to think that a team that held first place for 3 months and has played well all year would finish the season in 1st. Ha.

I'm not giving up. I am just pointing out the obvious. If we do not begin to get that bats going we won;t be playing in October. Simple as that. We have a solid pitching staff but having just that will not get you into the playoffs.

Have to have more production from a couple of guys. One being Derek Lee. He has got to get it going

We've just been streaky with our hitting. You know, hit for 4-5 games then don't for about that many. I would just like to win a series or 2 on the road, along with continuing to play well at home, of course.
