I hope the Braves pull it together for one last run for Bobby. I also hope they keep Melky on the pine. I know I'm not a coach but man, they need to do something, anything to shake things up a little. Hell, why not put Lee in RF, Heyward in CF with Ankiel, Diaz or even Hinske in LF. Then put Conrad or Hinske if not in LF at 3rd. I like Brooks at 3rd myself. That would allow you to get Troy, who has a big bat with big potential back in the line-up at 1st or even 3rd if he's 100%. The plan when they acquired Lee was to get Glaus ready for the post season. Well we're here and we need all the help we can possibly get. I do know he can't help us if they don't play him. You still have Ross, Ankiel, Hinske or Conrad or Diaz (depending on who plays where) on the bench. All have big time pop in their bats. Well Ankiel doesn't really have a lot of power but he does have good speed and can run out a clutch hit. And if you really get hard up for a pinch hitter, there's Nate and Melky.

I know some disagree and why not? As I said, it's just a way to shake things up and get Glaus and some other potential big bats in there. I would think that if Troy is healthy, the Braves have to get him in the line up somehow. At least give it a shot. He may catch fire like he did earlier in the year. And if you ask me, he's a WAY better start than Melky and Nate combined. Just look at the times Nate has been up with runners in scoring position only to strike out or hit into a DP. Let's not even get started on Melky. How much did all those outfield blunders by Melky cost us in the regular season? He's slow and lazy, has no arm and can't make a routine catch without turning around 5 times finally falling on his ass letting the ball roll to the wall. Plus, it's not like he's making up for all that stuff with his bat at the plate.
