North Webster (Springhill, La.) Rivals100 athlete Devin White heard everything he wanted to hear during his visit Sunday to Auburn.
"It went extremely well," White said. "It was like they were saying everything I was thinking."
White, who stands six feet tall and weighs 255 pounds, met extensively with Auburn coach Gus Malzahn during the visit. Malzahn showed White how he wanted to utilize his skills in the Tigers' offense.
"I basically hung with Coach Malzahn the whole time," White said. "He showed us around, talked to me and showed me video of how I would fit in his system.
"He wants me to play running back. He thinks I could do really well in his system and I do, too. I'd love to play running back in that system exactly the way he told me and showed me. I loved everything he said."
White's visit wasn't as in-depth as he'd like. Time didn't allow it, but he plans to return. He's in no hurry to make a decision.
"I'll definitely be back in the summer," he said. "I don't have a list of favorites or anything, but I'll definitely be looking at Auburn a lot harder now because that could help me in the long run."
Rivals.com ranks White the No. 5 athlete and No. 90 player in the country, and the No. 8 player from Louisiana.
