AUBURN, Ala. | Here are quotes from two of the juniors that visited Auburn Saturday.
Best part of the visit...
"Sitting down with Coach Malzahn, it was really great to do that, and going in Jordan-Hare."
On a potential offer...
"I sat down with Coach Grimes. He really likes how I play, he likes what I do. Right now, they've offered a bunch of tackles because they took a bunch of guards last year. Right now, he sees me playing guard at my current height and weight. He wants to see my grow, progress, and he's still going to recruit me hard. Since they're looking for tackles, they're not just throwing out offers to guards.
"He's going to come down to my school and watch me go through spring practice."
Elder's mom is an Auburn graduate but he said that wouldn't be a big factor in his decision...
"Growing up, live close, coming down to games. Really, I was a fan of Auburn football and have been. Throughout the recruiting process that's changed in general but I still love Auburn football and (an offer) would mean the world."
On the visit...
"It went good. I liked all the coaches and the facilities are really nice. It was just a really good experience."
On a potential offer...
"They said they liked the way I play. No offer yet but hopefully I can earn one ... (offensive line coach J.B. Grimes) said he's going to continue watch me and recruit me."
On his teammate, Auburn commitment Landon Rice...
"He encourages me about (Auburn). His brother goes here. I talk to his brother some and he really likes it. It sounds good."
What an Auburn offer would mean to him...
"It would be great. It would be cool to play with Landon in college too."
On early favorites...
"Right now, Clemson and Ole Miss are standing out. I've been to Clemson and I'm taking a visit to Ole Miss March 28."
