Top teams, recruits in AU

AUBURN | Thirty-seven high schools from six different states will be represented in Auburn on Saturday for the Tigers' 7-on-7 Tournament/OL-DL Training, and with the teams will be several of the country's top recruits.
The in-state teams will include Greenville and five-star defensive end Marlon Davidson, the state's No. 1 recruit and nation's No. 3 overall player.
Spanish Fort, home to four-star linebacker/Auburn commitment Tre Threat and junior linebacker Thomas Johnston, also will compete. So will Madison Academy and four-star running back/Auburn commitment Malik Miller and 2017 Rivals100 offensive tackle Austin Troxell, and Central-Phenix City with Rivals250 cornerback/Auburn commitment John Broussard and 2017 Rivals100 linebacker Markail Benton.
Opelika and junior four-star quarterback Jake Bentley will make the cross-town trip. Auburn and Park Crossing, which features Rivals250 linebacker P.J. Blue and three-star safety Jeawon Taylor, will field two teams each.
Of the 37 high schools competing, 17 are from Alabama, nine from Georgia, six from South Carolina, two each from Arkansas and Florida and one from Mississippi.
From Georgia, Cedar Grove will be in Auburn with Rivals100 four-star defensive tackle Antwuan Jackson, Rivals100 four-star linebacker Elysee Mbem-Bosse and junior cornerback Tre Shaw.
McEachern is making the trip from Powder Springs, Ga. and is bringing 2017 Rivals100 to Watch four-star quarterback/Georgia commitment Bailey Hockman, junior four-star receiver Tyler Smith, junior three-star cornerback Jaytlin Askew, three-star receiver Tyler Simmons and Rivals100 four-star defensive tackle/Georgia commitment Julian Rochester.
Also competing from Georgia are Carver-Columbus and four-star quarterback Jawon Pass and North Gwinnett and Rivals250 four-star receiver/USC commitment Josh Imatorbhebhe.
Games are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Each team will play at least seven games with the semifinals and finals being played in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The linemen will train during the day/tournament at Auburn's practice fields and indoor facility.
