Three Tigers named Coaches All-SEC

Three Auburn football players were selected to the 2009 All-Southeastern Conference Coaches' Football Team that was announced Tuesday.
Senior defensive end Antonio Coleman was named to the first team, while senior cornerback Walt McFadden and junior tackle Lee Ziemba earned second-team honors.

Coleman was a repeat selection on the All-SEC first team after leading the conference with 9.0 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss this season. He collected 45 total tackles, an interception which he returned for a touchdown against Mississippi State, a blocked kick, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Coleman, who was also named to First Team All-SEC by the Associated Press, ranks third in Auburn history with 23.5 career sacks, and was twice named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week this season, following his performances against Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
McFadden, who was also a second-team all-conference pick by the media, leads Auburn with four interceptions, which is tied for fifth most in the SEC, and his 12 passes defended (four interceptions, eight pass break-ups) is tied for sixth best in the league.
His four picks are tied for the most by an Auburn player in a single season since Junior Rosegreen had six in 2004. McFadden returned an interception 29 yards for a score Oct. 31 against Ole Miss, marking his second career interception return for a touchdown.
Ziemba, who was an honorable mention all-league selection by the Associated Press, has started every game of his college career at tackle, with his streak currently at 37 consecutive games.
He has been an instrumental part of an offensive line that is within 282 yards of breaking the school's single-season record for total offense, as the Tigers enter their final game with 5,188 yards of offense.
