Central (Phenix City, Ala.) Rivals250 cornerback John Broussard will play college football in the SEC West, and he's a day away from announcing at which school.
Broussard, the state's top cornerback prospect, will choose between Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State on Thursday.
"I can't go wrong," Broussard said. "They are all great schools."
Broussard, 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds, visited his three finalists all within the last month. He was in Starkville, Miss. on April 18 for the Bulldogs' spring game and ventured to Baton Rouge, La. a week later. He returned to Auburn on Sunday after multiple visits to the Plains earlier in the spring.
"Mississippi State is a great school," Broussard said. "I felt a tremendous amount of love when I went there. I have a great relationship and a lot of love for Coach (Deshea) Townsend, and Mississippi State has a great opportunity for me to come in and play."
So does Auburn.
"They have a great opportunity for me, too," he said. "They have a great opportunity for me to come in and play and compete for a starting spot.
"I've been to Auburn a lot and Auburn is always great. I always have a great time when I go there and I always feel lots of love. I have great relationships with Coach (Gus) Malzahn, Coach (Will) Muschamp and Coach (Rhett) Lashlee."
And then there's LSU. Broussard has always lived in the Phenix City area, but his parents both are originally from Lafayette, La.
"LSU has always been like a dream school," Broussard said. "And I loved it when I went up there last weekend. It's a great school and I have a great relationship with Coach (Korey) Raymond."
Broussard narrowed his options to Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State after also considering offers from Florida State, Florida, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, South Carolina, Tennessee, Nebraska and Penn State, among others.
Rivals.com ranks Broussard the No. 151 overall prospect, the No. 13 cornerback and the state's No. 6 player in the 2016 class.
Broussard will announce his college choice at Central High School at 9 a.m. CT.
