Prince Sammons should get a fair share of Auburn this week.

The offensive tackle from Cincinnati, Ohio is scheduled to receive a visit from Auburn coach Gus Malzahn and offensive line coach Herb Hand on Tuesday, and leave Friday for an official visit to Auburn.

“Coach Hand was up Friday last week and then we’re meeting with him and Coach Malzahn (Tuesday) morning,” Brandon Sammons, Prince’s father, said. “We will be down for an official visit this weekend. It will be Prince and myself and my wife.”

The connection with Sammons and Auburn is Hand, who was hired to replace former line coach J.B. Grimes.

“Coach Hand recruited Prince when he was at Penn State,” Brandon Sammons said.

It’s a relationship that gives the Tigers a chance with the tackle.

“I would say Auburn is a real possibility,” Brandon Sammons said.

So is both Duke and Michigan State.

Prince Sammons, who is listed at 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds, visited Michigan State on Jan. 22-24. He also visited Duke in December after a September visit to Oregon.

This weekend will be Sammons’ second visit to Auburn, his first coming in the summer of 2014.

“We’re looking forward to it,” Brandon Sammons said.
